About Satir Institute Thailand
Grounded in the belief that every person matters and has the potential to grow, we are nurturing a new generation of Satir practitioners in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Our Story
Satir Institute Thailand was founded with a simple but profound mission: to bring Virginia Satir's transformative approach to individuals and communities across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Rooted in the belief that every person matters and has the potential to grow, we have dedicated ourselves to making the Satir Model accessible, relevant, and culturally meaningful for Thai-speaking audiences. Through training, translation, and community building, we are nurturing a new generation of Satir practitioners in the region.
Our Founder
Dr. Natalie Chantagul
Satir Coach Master Trainer
Director of Community Building, Virginia Satir Global Network
Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology
Bilingual in English and Thai, Natalie has translated key Satir texts — including Sharon Loeschen's books — into Thai, making these resources available to Thai practitioners for the first time. She is also the author of "I Am Me, I Am Okay: A Personal Journey Toward Living Fully" and the creator of the Values Cards, a practical tool used in Satir-based coaching and therapy.
Natalie is affiliated with the Virginia Satir Global Network and is the founder of Satir Institute Thailand (Bangkok), offering both online and onsite training to individuals and groups across Thailand and internationally. She works across Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong — conducting training programs, certifying coaches, and developing culturally-adapted materials for Asian audiences.
Her work bridges East and West, honoring both the universality of Satir's vision and the richness of Thai cultural values.
Our Philosophy
We are guided by Virginia Satir's core beliefs
Inherent Worth
Every person is unique and has inherent worth.
Change Is Possible
Change is possible — and begins from within.
Healthy Relationships
Healthy relationships are built on congruence, respect, and connection.
Personhood
The therapist's greatest tool is their own personhood.
"At Satir Institute Thailand, learning is experiential, relational, and always rooted in the heart."
Our Vision
To cultivate a community of practitioners, learners, and seekers who embody Satir's message of hope — people helping people live more fully, love more freely, and connect more deeply.
